Sold at the upper estimate price
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Brandywine Landscape by Newell Convers Wyeth. The auction ended at the price of USD 250,000.00 (€ 214,224.51), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Newell Convers Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Hands Up!" in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 4,951,500.00 (€ 4,680,941.58).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Brandywine Landscape von Newell Convers Wyeth zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 214.224,51) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Newell Convers Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Hands Up!" im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.951.500,00 (€ 4.680.941,58).
