Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Ramona, frontispiece illustration (Señora Gonzaga Moreno and Ramona) by Newell Convers Wyeth. The price achieved of USD 191,000.00 (€ 180,461.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Newell Convers Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Hands Up!" in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 4,951,500.00 (€ 4,680,941.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ramona, frontispiece illustration (Señora Gonzaga Moreno and Ramona) von Newell Convers Wyeth zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 191.000,00 (€ 180.461,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Newell Convers Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Hands Up!" im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.951.500,00 (€ 4.680.941,58).
