In May this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction American Art, which included the work A Man of a Certain Probity and Worth, Immortal and Natural (New England; The Wood Sled) by Newell Convers Wyeth. The »bidding war« ended at USD 406,900.00 (€ 381,922.28), 36% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Newell Convers Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Hands Up!" in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 4,951,500.00 (€ 4,680,941.58).
