Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christmas Tree - Chadds Ford (Popular Magazine, cover illustration) by Newell Convers Wyeth was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 478,800.00 (€ 446,183.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Newell Convers Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Hands Up!" in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 4,951,500.00 (€ 4,680,941.58).
