Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work Our Heritage by Neil Cawthorne. The price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,234.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Neil Cawthorne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Full Cry in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 7,297.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Our Heritage von Neil Cawthorne zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.234,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Neil Cawthorne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Full Cry im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.465,00 (€ 7.297,87).
