Auction result well in line with expectations
The work At the Start by Neil Cawthorne was sold in the Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs auction at Christies in London in November 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,450.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Neil Cawthorne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Full Cry, which sold at auction in November 2000 for GBP 4,465.00 (€ 7,297.87).
