Auction result well in line with expectations
The work October Morning by Neil Cawthorne was sold in the Sporting Art and Dogs auction at Christies in London in June 2005. The price achieved of GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,312.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Neil Cawthorne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Full Cry, which sold at auction in November 2000 for GBP 4,465.00 (€ 7,297.87).

Die Arbeit October Morning von Neil Cawthorne wurde im Juni 2005 in der Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.312,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Neil Cawthorne mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Full Cry beobachtet, die im November 2000 für GBP 4.465,00 (€ 7.297,87) versteigert wurde.
