In September 2014 Phillips in New York held the auction Under the Influence, which included the work Two works: (i) Untitled (Hood), 1999; (ii) Sunlight by Neal Tait. The auction ended at the price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,959.46), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Neal Tait have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Varda in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,684.35).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im September 2014 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Under the Influence durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two works: (i) Untitled (Hood), 1999; (ii) Sunlight von Neal Tait zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.959,46) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Neal Tait auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Varda im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.684,35).
