Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sacrifice: The Story Of Isaac by Nazif Topçuoğlu was sold in the Contemporary Art Turkish auction at Sothebys in London in March 2009. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 10,783.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nazif Topçuoğlu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Triptych, which sold at auction in April 2010 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,454.59).

Die Arbeit Sacrifice: The Story Of Isaac von Nazif Topçuoğlu wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Turkish bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 10.783,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nazif Topçuoğlu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Triptych beobachtet, die im April 2010 für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.454,59) versteigert wurde.
