Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Linear Construction in Space No. 2 by Naum Gabo was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 162,500.00 (€ 183,652.69). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Naum Gabo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Linear Construction in Space No. 2, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 515,250.00 (€ 597,653.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Linear Construction in Space No. 2 von Naum Gabo kam im Juni 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 162.500,00 (€ 183.652,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Naum Gabo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Linear Construction in Space No. 2 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 515.250,00 (€ 597.653,05) versteigert wurde.
