A top price for Natvar Bhavsar - as previously expected
In March 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Sangam Iii by Natvar Bhavsar. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 125,000.00 (€ 116,376.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Sangam Iii is the most expensive artwork by Natvar Bhavsar that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sangam Iii von Natvar Bhavsar zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 116.376,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Sangam Iii das teuerste Kunstwerk von Natvar Bhavsar, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
