Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Natvar Bhavsar could be acquired at Christies in New York in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak auction, the work Aanang changed hands for USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,610.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Other works by Natvar Bhavsar have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2015 by the work Sangam Iii at USD 125,000.00 (€ 116,376.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Natvar Bhavsar konnte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak wechselte die Arbeit Aanang für USD 75.000,00 (€ 67.610,20) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Natvar Bhavsar wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2015 die Arbeit Sangam Iii mit USD 125.000,00 (€ 116.376,50).
