It achieved a price of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,753.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Natori Shunsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sosaku hanga shunsen nigao-e gashu (Creative prints: collected portrait-pictures by Shunsen) in March 2001 with an auction result of USD 25,850.00 (€ 29,395.04).

Die Arbeit Showa Era (1926-1989), Circa 1957 von Natori Shunsen wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Fine Japanese and Korean Art, including the Crawford Collection of Surimono bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.753,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Natori Shunsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sosaku hanga shunsen nigao-e gashu (Creative prints: collected portrait-pictures by Shunsen) im März 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.850,00 (€ 29.395,04).
