The work Showa Era (1926-1989), Circa 1957 by Natori Shunsen was sold in the Fine Japanese and Korean Art, including the Crawford Collection of Surimono auction at Bonhams in New York in September 2021. It achieved a price of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,753.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Natori Shunsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sosaku hanga shunsen nigao-e gashu (Creative prints: collected portrait-pictures by Shunsen) in March 2001 with an auction result of USD 25,850.00 (€ 29,395.04).
