This artwork by Nathaniel Mary Quinn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2019. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction auction, the work Hosie's Lady sold for GBP 125,000.00 (€ 144,991.04) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nathaniel Mary Quinn; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Over Yonder sold at auction in October 2019 with the realized price of GBP 212,500.00 (€ 246,484.76).
