Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Natee Utarit achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. In the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction, the work The Met No. 1 sold for HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 226,541.79) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Natee Utarit - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work GOD, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 4,032,000.00 (€ 478,684.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Natee Utarit erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit The Met No. 1 für HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 226.541,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Natee Utarit mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit GOD beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 4.032.000,00 (€ 478.684,93) versteigert wurde.
