In October 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work The Last Description of Dutch Tulip by Natee Utarit. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 945,000.00 (€ 105,118.16), 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Natee Utarit have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work GOD in May last year with an auction result of HKD 4,032,000.00 (€ 478,684.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Last Description of Dutch Tulip von Natee Utarit zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 945.000,00 (€ 105.118,16) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Natee Utarit auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit GOD im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.032.000,00 (€ 478.684,93).
