Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Wisconsin Cairn (Lake Flannery) by Nate Lowman. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 40,320.00 (€ 37,573.39). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nate Lowman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled Marilyn #13 in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 530,500.00 (€ 643,624.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wisconsin Cairn (Lake Flannery) von Nate Lowman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 40.320,00 (€ 37.573,39) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nate Lowman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled Marilyn #13 im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 530.500,00 (€ 643.624,15).
