In December 2013 Christies in Mumbai held the auction South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Deer) by Nandalal Bose. The auction ended at the price of INR 500,000.00 (€ 5,878.51), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of INR 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nandalal Bose achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bull Fighter in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 147,750.00 (€ 109,161.43).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2013 führte Christies in Mumbai die Auktion South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Deer) von Nandalal Bose zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von INR 500.000,00 (€ 5.878,51) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von INR 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nandalal Bose erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bull Fighter im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 147.750,00 (€ 109.161,43).
