The work Kaikeyi by Nandalal Bose was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. It achieved a price of USD 4,788.00 (€ 4,077.32), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nandalal Bose achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bull Fighter in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 147,750.00 (€ 109,161.43).

Die Arbeit Kaikeyi von Nandalal Bose wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 4.788,00 (€ 4.077,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nandalal Bose erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bull Fighter im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 147.750,00 (€ 109.161,43).
