The result of USD 8,000.00 (€ 7,142.22) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nadav Kander - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chongqing IV (Sunday Picnic), Chongqing Municipality, which sold at auction in May 2018 for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,044.88).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Chongqing II, Chongqing Municipality from Yangtze, The Long River von Nadav Kander wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 8.000,00 (€ 7.142,22) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nadav Kander mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chongqing IV (Sunday Picnic), Chongqing Municipality beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.044,88) versteigert wurde.
