Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Baudelaire, c. 1855 by Nadar was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2019. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,602.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nadar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alexandre Dumas in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 74,575.49).
