A top price for Nadar
The work Alexandre Dumas by Nadar was sold in the The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, Part 2 auction at Phillips in New York in April 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 81,250.00 (€ 74,575.49), 16% above the upper estimate. With this result, Alexandre Dumas is even the most expensive work of art by Nadar that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Alexandre Dumas von Nadar wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, Part 2 bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 74.575,49) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Alexandre Dumas sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Nadar, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
