Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli and International Art, which included the work At The Theater by Moshe Mokady. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,082.48) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Moshe Mokady achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape Through an Open Window in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 188,500.00 (€ 140,117.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli and International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit At The Theater von Moshe Mokady zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.082,48) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Moshe Mokady erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape Through an Open Window im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 188.500,00 (€ 140.117,45).
