Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work Interior by Moshe Mokady. The price achieved of USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,611.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Moshe Mokady achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape Through an Open Window in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 188,500.00 (€ 140,117.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interior von Moshe Mokady zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.611,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Moshe Mokady erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape Through an Open Window im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 188.500,00 (€ 140.117,45).
