Auction result well in line with expectations
The work At The Piano by Moshe Mokady was sold in the Israeli and International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2008. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,490.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Moshe Mokady achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape Through an Open Window in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 188,500.00 (€ 140,117.45).

Die Arbeit At The Piano von Moshe Mokady wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Israeli and International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.490,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Moshe Mokady erzielen.
