Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Moshe Kupferman was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,699.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Moshe Kupferman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 26,400.00 (€ 19,326.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Moshe Kupferman kam im Dezember 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.699,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Moshe Kupferman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2007 für USD 26.400,00 (€ 19.326,50) versteigert wurde.
