Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included this untitled work by Moshe Kupferman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,250.00 (€ 7,597.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Moshe Kupferman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 26,400.00 (€ 19,326.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Moshe Kupferman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.250,00 (€ 7.597,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Moshe Kupferman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2007 für USD 26.400,00 (€ 19.326,50) versteigert wurde.
