Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included this untitled work by Moshe Kupferman. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,299.47) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Moshe Kupferman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 26,400.00 (€ 19,326.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Moshe Kupferman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.299,47) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Moshe Kupferman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2007 für USD 26.400,00 (€ 19.326,50) versteigert wurde.
