Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli and International Art, which included this untitled work by Moshe Kupferman. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,768.18) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Moshe Kupferman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 26,400.00 (€ 19,326.50).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli and International Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Moshe Kupferman zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.768,18) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Moshe Kupferman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 26.400,00 (€ 19.326,50).
