The »bidding war« ended at USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,336.67), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Moshe Gershuni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2009 with an auction result of USD 59,375.00 (€ 39,599.17).
