Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Moshe Castel could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Israeli & International Art auction, the work Oriental Jew changed hands for USD 13,750.00 (€ 13,030.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Moshe Castel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hallelujah in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 65,885.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Moshe Castel konnte im Dezember 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Israeli & International Art wechselte die Arbeit Oriental Jew für USD 13.750,00 (€ 13.030,71) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Moshe Castel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hallelujah im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 65.885,80).
