In the An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection auction, the work The Potter sold for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,089.53) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mortimer Luddington Menpes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Benares, Blue Is The Sky, which sold at auction in June 2011 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,189.42).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mortimer Luddington Menpes erzielte im September 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection wurde die Arbeit The Potter für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.089,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mortimer Luddington Menpes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Benares, Blue Is The Sky beobachtet, die im Juni 2011 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.189,42) versteigert wurde.
