In the Important American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Cats in the Snow sold for USD 290,500.00 (€ 234,956.32) - well above the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Morris Hirshfield; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Cats In The Snow sold at auction in November 2015 with the realized price of USD 281,000.00 (€ 266,048.10).
