A top price for Morris Hirshfield - as previously expected
In November 2015 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Cats In The Snow by Morris Hirshfield. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 260,000.00 – 350,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 281,000.00 (€ 266,048.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cats In The Snow is the most expensive artwork by Morris Hirshfield that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cats In The Snow von Morris Hirshfield zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 260.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 281.000,00 (€ 266.048,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Cats In The Snow das teuerste Kunstwerk von Morris Hirshfield, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
