Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work Venus Of Beersheba by Mordecai Ardon. The price achieved of USD 598,000.00 (€ 550,695.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 450,000.00 – 650,000.00. Other works by Mordecai Ardon have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2014 the work The Awakening was auctioned for USD 821,000.00 (€ 678,456.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venus Of Beersheba von Mordecai Ardon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 598.000,00 (€ 550.695,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 450.000,00 – 650.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Mordecai Ardon konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2014 die Arbeit The Awakening für USD 821.000,00 (€ 678.456,33) versteigert.
