Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mordecai Ardon could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Israeli & International Art auction, the work Self-Portrait changed hands for USD 27,500.00 (€ 26,061.41) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mordecai Ardon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Awakening in December 2014 with an auction result of USD 821,000.00 (€ 678,456.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mordecai Ardon konnte im Dezember 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Israeli & International Art wechselte die Arbeit Self-Portrait für USD 27.500,00 (€ 26.061,41) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mordecai Ardon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Awakening im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 821.000,00 (€ 678.456,33).
