Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Parable Of 1 X 1 by Mordecai Ardon was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2016. The price achieved of USD 225,000.00 (€ 213,229.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mordecai Ardon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Awakening, which sold at auction in December 2014 for USD 821,000.00 (€ 678,456.33).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 213.229,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden.
