Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moroccanuntitled by Mohamed Hamidi was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,962.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mohamed Hamidi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition, 1962, which sold at auction in November this year for MAD 341,120.00 (€ 31,241.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Moroccanuntitled von Mohamed Hamidi kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.962,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mohamed Hamidi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition, 1962 beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für MAD 341.120,00 (€ 31.241,19) versteigert wurde.
