This work without title by Mohamed Hamidi was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 19,000.00 (€ 22,307.79), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mohamed Hamidi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Composition, 1962 sold at auction in November this year with the realized price of MAD 341,120.00 (€ 31,241.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mohamed Hamidi wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 19.000,00 (€ 22.307,79) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Mohamed Hamidi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Composition, 1962 im November diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von MAD 341.120,00 (€ 31.241,19).
