Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mira Schendel could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Untitled, 1964 changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,066.60) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mira Schendel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled, From The Series Droguinhas (Little Nothings) in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,512,500.00 (€ 1,346,119.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mira Schendel konnte im September 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Untitled, 1964 für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.066,60) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mira Schendel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled, From The Series Droguinhas (Little Nothings) im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.512.500,00 (€ 1.346.119,62).
