Auction result well in line with expectations
The work L'Altalena by Mimmo Germanà was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Milan in May 2010. It changed hands for a price of EUR 6,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mimmo Germanà - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition, 1986, which sold at auction in December 2008 for EUR 14,026.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit L'Altalena von Mimmo Germanà wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 6.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mimmo Germanà mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition, 1986 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für EUR 14.026,00 versteigert wurde.
