Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art20th Century to Today, which included the work Untitled, 1963 by Milton Resnick. The price achieved of USD 12,575.00 (€ 11,330.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Milton Resnick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ulysses in May this year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 236,530.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art20th Century to Today durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, 1963 von Milton Resnick zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.575,00 (€ 11.330,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Milton Resnick erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ulysses im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 236.530,88).
