Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2017 Koller held the auction Photographie, which included the work Marcello Mastroiani und Ursula Andress, 1965. by Milton Greene. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 438.00 (€ 383.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Milton Greene achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nelly Nyad (1952) in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 15,275.00 (€ 18,000.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2017 führte Koller die Auktion Photographie durch, in der auch die Arbeit Marcello Mastroiani und Ursula Andress, 1965. von Milton Greene zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 438,00 (€ 383,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Milton Greene erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nelly Nyad (1952) im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.275,00 (€ 18.000,24).
