Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Church Morning, Moorea by Millard Owen Sheets was sold in the Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer auction at Bonhams in February this year. The price achieved of USD 6,375.00 (€ 6,013.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Millard Owen Sheets have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wild Horses of The Camargue in April last year with an auction result of USD 28,050.00 (€ 26,620.48).

Die Arbeit Church Morning, Moorea von Millard Owen Sheets wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 6.013,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Millard Owen Sheets auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wild Horses of The Camargue im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.050,00 (€ 26.620,48).
