Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Morning Promenade by Millard Owen Sheets was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,048.00 (€ 1,889.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Millard Owen Sheets achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wild Horses of The Camargue in April last year with an auction result of USD 28,050.00 (€ 26,620.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Morning Promenade von Millard Owen Sheets kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.048,00 (€ 1.889,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Millard Owen Sheets erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wild Horses of The Camargue im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.050,00 (€ 26.620,48).
