Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bright Sails of Concarneau by Millard Owen Sheets was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,322.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Millard Owen Sheets have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wild Horses of The Camargue in April last year with an auction result of USD 28,050.00 (€ 26,620.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bright Sails of Concarneau von Millard Owen Sheets wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.462,50 (€ 4.322,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Millard Owen Sheets auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wild Horses of The Camargue im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.050,00 (€ 26.620,48).
