Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Marketplace by Millard Owen Sheets was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,410.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Millard Owen Sheets - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wild Horses of The Camargue, which sold at auction in April last year for USD 28,050.00 (€ 26,620.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Marketplace von Millard Owen Sheets wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.650,00 (€ 7.410,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Millard Owen Sheets mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wild Horses of The Camargue beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für USD 28.050,00 (€ 26.620,48) versteigert wurde.
