Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for Capture of the Cretan bull and The abduction of Europa by Mikhail Zichy was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,389.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mikhail Zichy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An important montage marking the occasion of the Emperor Alexander II's Silver Wedding Jubilee in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 457,250.00 (€ 556,058.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study for Capture of the Cretan bull and The abduction of Europa von Mikhail Zichy kam im November 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
