In June 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work Alexander Iii At The Winter Palace Ball by Mikhail Zichy. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 37,500.00 (€ 43,769.22), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mikhail Zichy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An important montage marking the occasion of the Emperor Alexander II's Silver Wedding Jubilee in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 457,250.00 (€ 556,058.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Alexander Iii At The Winter Palace Ball von Mikhail Zichy zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 43.769,22) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mikhail Zichy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An important montage marking the occasion of the Emperor Alexander II's Silver Wedding Jubilee im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 457.250,00 (€ 556.058,56).
