Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Escaping from Death by Mikhail Zichy for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,545.14). This price was achieved in the auction Russian Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mikhail Zichy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An important montage marking the occasion of the Emperor Alexander II's Silver Wedding Jubilee in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 457,250.00 (€ 556,058.56).
